  • Pastor James (Jim) Fowler, D.Min.

    Pastor Fowler began his ministry with us in September 2015. 

    He was ordained in 1983, and holds the degree of Bachelor of Arts in Music from Luther College, Decorah, Iowa; Master of Divinity from Trinity Lutheran Seminary, Columbus, Ohio; and Doctor of Ministry from the Lutheran School of Theology, Chicago, Illinois.

    Jim and his wife, Heidi, have one daughter, Sarah and grandson, JJ.

    Jim likes to sing, read spy novels, and play golf.

  • Paul Almjeld, Choir Director


    DMA in Choral Music, University of Illinois, 1980

    MM in Music Education, Mankato State College, 1972

    BS in Music Education, Mankato State College, 1965

    Paul served as Professor of Music and Director of Choral Activities at Dakota Wesleyan University in Mitchell from 1997-2007. Prior positions include service as an Associate Professor of Music and Director of Choral Studies at Lakeland College in Sheboygan, WI, and Director of Choirs at Sheboygan South High School from 1974-78 and 1980-82.

    He is a published composer of instrumental and choral literature.

    Paul’s interests are diverse! If you attend car races in the Midwest, you are very likely to find him working in somebody’s pit crew. He has a special interest in Sunbeam Alpine automobiles. Paul is also an avid fisherman.

    Paul is married to Susan, and they are parents to Heidi, Karin, Kristin, and Karl. They have nine grandchildren.

    The Trinity Choir rehearsals are at 8:45 AM in the Balcony.  All ages of singers are welcome!

  • Karla Tawzer, Office Manager

    Karla obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Education from The University of South Dakota.

    In April 2006, Karla began her ministry with Trinity as our Office Manager.  

    Karla enjoys a variety of music, reading, photography and journaling.

    God wants each of us to accept and see the hopefulness in our days; to make healthy choices; to maintain positive relationships; to inspire others. We are called to, "Encourage one another and build each other up."
