Pastor Fowler began his ministry with us in September 2015.
He was ordained in 1983, and holds the degree of Bachelor of Arts in Music from Luther College, Decorah, Iowa; Master of Divinity from Trinity Lutheran Seminary, Columbus, Ohio; and Doctor of Ministry from the Lutheran School of Theology, Chicago, Illinois.
Jim and his wife, Heidi, have one daughter, Sarah and grandson, JJ.
Jim likes to sing, read spy novels, and play golf.

Paul served as Professor of Music and Director of Choral Activities at Dakota Wesleyan University in Mitchell from 1997-2007. Prior positions include service as an Associate Professor of Music and Director of Choral Studies at Lakeland College in Sheboygan, WI, and Director of Choirs at Sheboygan South High School from 1974-78 and 1980-82.
He is a published composer of instrumental and choral literature.
Paul’s interests are diverse! If you attend car races in the Midwest, you are very likely to find him working in somebody’s pit crew. He has a special interest in Sunbeam Alpine automobiles. Paul is also an avid fisherman.
Paul is married to Susan, and they are parents to Heidi, Karin, Kristin, and Karl. They have nine grandchildren.
The Trinity Choir rehearsals are at 8:45 AM in the Balcony. All ages of singers are welcome!
Karla obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Education from University of South Dakota.
Prior to returning to Vermillion in 2005, Karla was an elementary special education school teacher and then worked in conjunction with the Department of Rehabilitation Services as a Special Education/Transition Coordinator and Vocational and Independent Living Evaluator.
In April 2006, Karla began her ministry with Trinity as our Office Manager.
Karla enjoys a variety of music, reading, photography, and re-purposing items.
